What's amazing is I've found a way to control my dreams. I don't necessarily control what I dream about, but I've found a way to dream more often. Lately, I noticed I wasn't having dreams as much as I used to be. Since I've moved, and I have my own room now, I have the privacy to play music while I sleep. Music has always helped me relax and fall asleep, but my sister never allowed it when we shared a room. Now, I leave my music on every night. I usually play a collection of about 5-10 songs, or a recently bought album. Usually a mix of my favorite songs at the moment. It's amazing how the songs actually incorporate to your dreams. I guess since you hear certain parts of the song over and over again, it works a way into your head.
Last night, I was listening to a couple of songs while I slept, and I found myself watching a music video for one of the songs. The song itself already has a music video, but in my dream, the artist had made 3 alternate videos. For some reason, only that song stuck with my all night, even though I had more than 5 songs on the list. Sometimes, certain lines appear in my dreams, and characters in my dream keep repeating it. I guess I hear it while the song plays, and it seems like the characters in my dream are actually saying it to me. Nonetheless, it's incredible. I sleep better, and dream more often, which for me, is a good thing. I've also found myself waking up one or two times in the middle of the night, and I hear a specific song it's on, then I wake up in the morning, and it's on the same exact song. That's pretty freaky when you have a whole album playing, and the odds of that happening actually slim.
There are two days left for 2006. We should live to be more honest, caring and most of all, loving. I wish everybody health and happiness, and remember to keep chasing your dreams.
